The M.E. Church has raised a circular inviting strangers and friends to join with them in worshiping the Lord. These circulars are placed in the hotel reading rooms every Sunday morning. This, we think, is an excellent idea as a great many times a stranger would attend church providing he knew where and what time services were held.

Fixing up the Church.
The M.E. Church is being kalsomined and papered. Services last Sabbath were held in the chapel on account of the scaffolding which had been erected in the church the week of June 30, 1881.
Services at the M.E. Church next Sabbath will be held in the audience room instead of the Chapel. The ladies have done well in fixing up the church and deserve much praise for their labor, having done most of the work themselves.
Finally, on Friday, July 11, 1881, the ladies held a re‑opening and lawn social at the Church. They went to considerable trouble to have things well arranged for the reception and comfort of those in attendance. The grounds in front of the church were illuminated with Chinese lanterns and the church and parlors well decorated. It was both socially and financially a great success.
